What data should you assume is sensitive?
Treat all of the following as sensitive even if the interface feels private:

Six steps before the first private chat
1. Use an invented persona
Do not give a companion your legal name, exact location, employer, routine, financial information, recovery answers, or credentials. A fictional nickname and broad interests are enough to test personalization.
2. Protect the account independently
Create a unique password with a password manager. Enable two-factor authentication if the current account settings offer it. Secure the email account used for password recovery as well.
3. Use only fictional adults and authorized media
Do not reproduce a real person’s identity for intimate content. Do not upload a partner, creator, celebrity, classmate, coworker, or stranger without explicit authorization. Public availability is not consent.
4. Check deletion before creating a library
Locate controls for conversation deletion, generated-media deletion, character deletion, and full account deletion. The privacy notice describes retention that can outlast immediate use and may include legal exceptions. If you cannot understand the deletion path, keep the test minimal.
5. Cap subscription and token exposure

Longer subscription terms may advertise a lower monthly equivalent while billing the entire term up front. They may renew for the same duration. Read the confirmation line, not only the headline discount.
Are calls, images, and videos private?
They are not public by default simply because they occur inside an account, but “private interface” should not be interpreted as “only you can ever access or process this data.” Providers use infrastructure, employees, and service processors to operate, moderate, secure, and improve services under their policies and applicable law.
Use media mode only when wanted. The official chat interface describes a control that can stop automatic media sends and token use. Check current behavior because feature names and defaults can change.
What about provider security claims?

Good personal security still matters: data minimization, unique credentials, two-factor authentication, authorized media, deletion tests, and a budget limit.
Red flags that should stop the session
Pause if the product or anyone using it asks for:

- real-person intimate uploads without consent;
